Our client is looking for an IT Systems Administrator.You will be establishing, managing and maintaining end-to-end information, communication, and technology capabilities and services within programs. This includes performing, day-to-day operational and administrative tasks, monitoring system availability and capacity, incident management, problem diagnoses and resolution, while complying with change management procedures. You will also provide leadership, technical expertise and complete assigned project tasks under the direction of the project lead to help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, while achieving their stated objectives. Key responsibilities:

• Provide technical consultancy to achieve effective implementation of server hardware and system software including virtualised infrastructures
• Ensure the provisioning, upgrades, capacity planning, and performance testing of server environments including virtualisation infrastructure
• Participate in a 2nd line incident response capability for infrastructure system operational issues. Establish strong processes in line with industry standards
• As directed, liaise with project and technical teams to facilitate the delivery of infrastructure solutions
• Ensure compliance to corporate change control, DoD standard security procedures and methodologies.

The location of the role is in Sydney.
