Our client is looking for a Network Implementation Engineer. Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years experience with field-based work in data centers, huts and colocation facilities managed by 3rd party vendors
- Experience working with optical networking technologies
- Ability to travel as required.
Preferred qualifications:
- Understanding of networking and fundamentals of network troubleshooting at both Layer1 and Layer 3
- Detailed knowledge of fiber types and their application; physical fiber characteristics; and standard testing tools (OSA, BERT, OTDR)
- Advanced troubleshooting of DWDM and Routing systems. Proficient in DWDM and Routing topology and architecture, can serve as a resource for other teams
- Network Capacity Planning
- Understanding of network transport design, equipment and infrastructure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The location of the role is in Fort Worth.
